Friends of the Library

The Friends of Your Home Public Library is a dedicated group of volunteers who donate their time and talent to support the library and it’s mission.

We are 30 members strong and welcome new members at any time.  Some of the tasks that our members perform are: sorting and shelving book donations, creating special interest book displays for our book sales, and working at book sales.

In 2018 we hosted a Valentine Event and a Spring Luncheon.  In addition to our Book Sales we raised funds for the library by raffling off an antique doll house and selling tickets to the Boscov’s Friends and Family Sale.  YHPL t-shirts are available at the front desk.

Where did the money go?

The Friends of Your Home Public Library provided funds to: have additional bookcases built into the Sun Room and Pass-through Room, purchase a space-saving magazine rack, redecorate the Gold Room, update the Director’s office including new desk and computer, fresh paint, window blinds and curtains as well as upgrading the lighting in the Book Sale Room.

During the Spring, Summer and early Fall months our members can also be found tending our library’s flower gardens. Each Summer the flowers are more beautiful than the last.
